Scope

In the general context of sustainable development and strategic resiliency, the conference will cover new usages of electricity and renewable energy resourcesfrom circular economy to safety & security of the electrical supply chain.

The objective is to connect researchers from industry and academia in order to encourage them to work together on common themes. All TRL levels will be addressed. Contributions on feedback from experiences will be very useful and will facilitate discussion on common issues at all levels of maturity and development.

Invited speakers

Invited speaker 1 : Nicolas Lallouet, Nexans

Needs of the Electric Grid for Carbon Neutrality and Resource Scarcity

Nicolas Lallouet has 24 years of experience in superconductivity at Nexans. Since 2003 he has been responsible for the development of high-voltage and medium-voltage accessories for superconducting cable systems. He was also in charge during 10 years of developing HVDC cable system accessories for conventional extruded cables. Previously, he was in charge of developing high-temperature superconducting tapes within Nexans. He has about 27 publications and 37 patents in the field of superconductivity.

Invited speaker 2 :Stéphane MOCANU chercheur au Laboratoire d’Informatique de Grenoble au sein de l’équipe mixte Inria CTRL-A

Smart-Grids Cybersecurity : threats, vulnerabilities and security framework

In this talk we discuss the state of the art of electrical networks cybersecurity. Based on classical events in power networks security we analyse the typical threats and the vulnerabilities that they exploit. In the second part of the talk we present the security architectures and security practices as recommended by international standards (IEC 62351, IEC 62443, ISO 27000) and NIST Cybersecurity Framework.

Stéphane Mocanu obtained a Ph.D in Control Systems in 1999 from Grenoble-INP. He is assistant professor in Grenoble-INP and in Laboratoire d’Informatique de Grenoble (LIG, UNR 5217 CNRS/G-INP/UGA) in the joint Inria CTRL-A team. He start working on industrial control systems cybersecurity in 2012 and had industrial collaborations with CEA, DGA and Naval Group.  He’s running a large size experimental lab for industrial systems cybersecurity pentesting and vulnerability research.
